Akita Inus are considered to be amongst the most loyal dog breeds, and Hachiko was no exception. He was acquired as a puppy by Japanese Dr. Ueno and the two made an unbreakable bond. Every evening, Hachiko would wait for his master at the Shibuya Station. After Dr. Ueno passed away, Hachiko waited at the train station for ten years, hoping that his master and him would be reunited.
